A great pitching matchup is set for Friday night in Atlanta as the 3-4 Braves host the 5-1 Philadelphia Phillies (7:35 p.m. ET, MLB Network).

Cliff Lee (1-0, 3.86 ERA) will get the start for the Phillies while Tim Hudson (1-0, 1.29 ERA) goes for the Braves. This is the first game of a three-game series between the two teams expected to battle for the National League East title this season.

The Braves and Phillies are both listed at -105 at SBGGlobal.com and the total is set at 7 (under -125). On the runline, Atlanta is -1.5 (+185) and Philadelphia is +1.5 (-225).

The Phillies have started the season strongly but all of their wins so far have come at home. This will be their first road game of the season. Lee rarely gets bothered by a road crowd but his ERA in his career against the Braves is pretty high at 5.06.

The Braves turn to Tim Hudson on Friday and he has been excellent in his career at Turner Field. He went 11-5 with a 2.48 ERA in 18 starts at home last season. At the end of last season he was great against the Phillies giving up just two hits in seven innings in a 8-7 Atlanta win.

Hudson has had a lot of bad luck though against the Phillies. His ERA against them is pretty good at 3.79 but his record is just 6-7.
