MGM Mirage is taking a huge gamble on City Center, a massive new real estate development along the Las Vegas Strip. The new project, which includes hotels, casinos, offices, restaurants and shops, covers 67 acres and cost $8.5 billion. The project has created 12,000 new jobs, which makes it the largest job creator in the United States right now. A total of 175,000 people applied for the job openings.
