The Duke Blue Devils will be playing their first game of the season as the number #1 team in the country when they take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Duke became the top team in the country by blowing out Maryland 85-44 on Saturday and former top-ranked Wake Forest losing their first game of the season on Jan, 21st to Virginia Tech 78-71. With Duke becoming the #1 ranked team in the country, North Carolina became the first state to ever have three different teams hold the top spot. The Blue Devils come in playing suffocating defense during conference play. Duke is limiting their ACC opponents to just 51.6 points a game on a minuscule 35.7 % shooting from the floor. Kyle Singler leads Duke with 16.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.8 steals per game. However Gerald Henderson has been on fire leading the team in scoring in five straight games. Henderson has averaged 21.0 points, shot 64.2 percent of his shots and 10-of-13 from 3-point range. Duke has won six of the last seven meetings straight up and against the point spread.
