Pittsburgh Steelers logoThe best matchup in Week 7 has the unbeaten Minnesota Vikings traveling to Pittsburgh to face the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET, Fox).

Quarterback Brett Favre has led the Vikings to a perfect 6-0 start this season while Ben Roethlisberger has the Steelers at 4-2.

Pittsburgh is a 5.5 point favorite the total is pegged at 45 at SBG Global.

The Vikings offense has been really clicking this season as Adrian Peterson leads the league in rushing while Favre is the league’s third highest rated passer. Favre has 12 TD passes and only two interceptions this season.

“Well you know (Brett’s) been to a few of those rodeos before,” Vikings coach Brad Childress said. “Ahead, behind, he knows what he’s doing with the football in this system.”

There should be a lot of points scored on Sunday since the Vikings defense has been giving up points in bunches even though they are unbeaten. Pittsburgh has the NFL’s fifth best offense and Roethlisberger is second in passing yards per game.

“He’s in total command of the offense,” said head coach Mike Tomlin, “It’s fun to watch.”

The Vikings will have trouble stopping him and it doesn’t help that cornerback Antoine Winfield has a sprained right foot and may not play.

The Steelers have gone 24 straight games without allowing a 100-yard rusher but that streak could be in danger against Peterson.

“You can’t focus on one thing,” Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley said. “If you focus on the run, Brett Favre will beat you downfield with guys like Sidney Rice. If you focus on the pass, Adrian Peterson can run the ball. You have to balance it out and maybe try to stop both.”

The Vikings lead the all-time regular season series against Pittsburgh 8-6. The two teams last played in 2005 when Pittsburgh won 18-3.

The Vikings are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. The Steelers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games as a home NFL betting favorite.

The over is 4-0 in the Vikings last four games overall. The over is 4-0 in the Steelers last four games overall. The over is 41-17-2 in the Steelers last 60 home games.
