Tinseltown vs. Beantown
With Manny Mania having taken Hollywood by storm, Boston will look to depend on their experience to get back to the World Series. The Dodgers are peeking at the right time coming off a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs. Boston made the playoffs by beating on the Angels once again 3-1 in their divisional playoff.
The Dodgers now face against the Philadelphia Phillies and their powerful line of hitters. The Dodgers manager Joe Torre has found a way to mix the veteran leadership of Ramirez, Greg Maddux and Rafael Furcal with the young talent of Andre Either, James Loney and Matt Kemp.
The Tampa Bay Rays are on series away from playing for the championship after having the worst record in baseball at this time last season. The Rays have a young pitching staff that has been consistent all season. The Rays offense has is loaded from top to bottom and will have to take on the pressure of playing in the playoffs.
The Red Sox replaced Manny with Jason Bay and have not looked back since. The Red Sox will have to go into Tampa and take the home field advantage from the Rays if they want to face off against Manny and his new team. Despite the success of these four teams, the World Series would be huge if the Dodgers could face the Red Sox for the championship.
